Dr. Mika E. Fu graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) and received her Master of the Arts in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed internships providing broad clinical experience at the Naval Medical Hosipital San Diego, Camp Pendelton Naval Hospital, the Center for the Partially Sighted in Los Angeles, and at the Eye Care Center of Fullerton at SCCO.
Prior to joining the profession of Optometry, Dr. Fu taught Biology for UCLA and the Los Angeles Unified School District. Dr. Fu also recieved the Richter International Scholars Fellowship in 1997 at Occidental College, in Los Angeles, for her Biological research in the rainforests of Costa Rica. Dr. Fu is a member of the San Diego County Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. During her leisure time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and taking care of her Pembroke Welsh Corgi, her two feral/rescue cats, and freshwater aquarium fish.
